Read The Room

How well can instructors “read” their classrooms? ┬áThis biology education research project seeks to determine how accurate instructor assumptions are regarding student perceptions. Below is a poster presented at the 2014 SABER conference (Society for the Advancement of Biology Education Research) and a research talk given at the University of Tennessee showing preliminary results.

We have received IRB approval to expand this study to include biology courses from other United States universities. If you teach a biology lab or small lecture (Fall 2017 or Spring 2018) and are interested in participating please contact me (readtheroom@utk.edu) by October 15th, 2017.
